1. We Installed Drainage Downspouts and Drain Grates for Runoff Water

To kick off this project, we had to solve a problem—one that we've found a lot of our clients have been dealing with for some time. Poor water runoff can devastate a property if left unaddressed. For example, frequent, excessive pooling of water around the base of your home can eventually seep deep into the foundation and cause massive damage. So, we began by installing brand-new, highly effective drainage downspouts and rain grates to help the property drain water better.

2. We Designed and Implemented a Brand New Irrigation System

​

Next, we determined (along with the client) that the entire landscape needed an updated and streamlined irrigation system. Our team here at Fay-Ark Lawn Co. has extensive experience in the design and implementation of irrigation systems and drainage solutions. Accordingly, we took into account factors such as slopes, vegetation, and rainfall averages for the area and then got to work!

3. We Graded the Yard and Integrated High-Quality Topsoil

​

As you might imagine, part of this process required yard grading. To keep it simple, yard grading is the process of leveling out a yard. This can often be used to level the land to a slope away from the property, as we did in this case. Reworking the land into a slight incline can help water drain away from the main property much more efficiently. And when we were done with the grading process, we finished it off with a healthy layer of first-class topsoil to kickstart the yard's future growth.

4. We Built Rock Edging and TWO Natural Stone Walls

​

This client really wanted their yard to incorporate rugged but elegant rock and stonework—and we were more than happy to oblige. First, we started by meticulously constructing some stunning rock edging to highlight their flowerbeds as well as the local vegetation around their property. We then topped it off with two sturdy rock walls that tied all of the previous landscaping and hardscaping in Rogers, AR, together.

5. We Planted a Variety of Perennials & Deer Resistant Vegetation

​

With all of the hardscaping completed, it was time to tackle the finishing touches of this project. Through conversations with the client, we were able to decide upon and curate an outstanding selection of perennial plants that would look good and flourish all year round. Likewise, as deer are known to enjoy this neck of the woods, we also chose to plant and cultivate deer-resistant vegetation to ensure that the local wildlife never made an afternoon snack out of the client's brand-new landscape.

6. We Laid Climate-Tolerant Fescue Sod

​

All that was left to do then was to lay down a fresh layer of sod and call it a wrap. For this project, we determined that climate-tolerant fescue sod was the best way to go. Not only does the luscious green grass look stunning adorning any property, but it is also highly resistant to all kinds of temperatures and weather conditions.
